Friday, March 27, 2009 / Khutba-tul-Jumu’ah, Rabi-al-awwal 30, 1430

As Salaam ‘Alaykum: We thank Allāh, we seek His help, we ask for His forgiveness, we believe and put our complete trust in Him, Mighty and Sublime is He. We witness that there is no deity except Allāh, He alone is without partners, and we witness that Muhammed is His Servant and Messenger, the prayers and peace be on him, on his descendants, his companions, and peace be on Allāh’s Messengers (all of them), and what follows of this traditional salutation.

Sūrah, 16:125, Allāh (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) revealed in Qur’ānic prayer language:

ادْعُ إِلِى سَبِيلِ رَبِّكَ بِالْحِكْمَةِ وَالْمَوْعِظَةِ الْحَسَنَةِ

ادْعُ | ud-عu | (invite!) is an active command to obey this order from our Lord and Master (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) as revealed here in Qur’ānic prayer language. The following incident shows how easy it is to violate what Allāh (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) has revealed regarding not putting ourselves before Allah and His Messenger (ﺼﻠﻰ ﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻮ ﺴﻠﻢ). Example, after an introduction, I was questioned: What is my minhāj? Am I Salaf? And do I acknowledge a particular scholar as the leader of contemporary thought in the Islamic Community of Prophet Muhammed (ﺼﻠﻰ ﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻮ ﺴﻠﻢ)? When we turn our opinions into dogma, we violate Allāh’s (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) teachings. Example; Sūrah 49: يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تُقَدِّمُوا بَيْنَ يَدَيِ ﷲِ وَرَسُولِهِ and Sūrah 1: مَالِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ; and in Sūrah 51: وَمَا خَلَقْتُ الْجِنَّ وَالْإِنسَ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُونِ; that’s the Sunnah of emancipation!’ This is the age old dogma that started the genocide in Islamic Community of Prophet Muhammed (ﺼﻠﻰ ﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻮ ﺴﻠﻢ) after he passed and continues to be the fuel that ignites hostilities that will land us in hell.

We must continue on this Qur’ānic journey examining ourselves by what Allāh (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) revealed in Qur’ānic prayer language; there is only one Master of man in the Islamic Community of Prophet Muhammed (ﺼﻠﻰ ﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻮ ﺴﻠﻢ). Who wants to be a slave of creation? We are not slaves to a scholar of any sect: لا اله الا الله وحده لا شريك له له الملك وله الحمد وهو على كل شيىء قدير. Prophet Muhammed (ﺼﻠﻰ ﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻮ ﺴﻠﻢ) was not a slave of creation and he is the model of excellence that Allāh (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) chose as the best pattern for humanity. We are not now, nor should we ever hold up a man, woman, their knowledge or anything in creation as our master. Until this is understood and practiced we are not living by what Allāh (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) revealed in Qur’ānic prayer language.

We repeat Sūrah, 16:125; Allāh (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) revealed in Qur’ānic prayer language:

ادْعُ إِلِى سَبِيلِ رَبِّكَ بِالْحِكْمَةِ وَالْمَوْعِظَةِ الْحَسَنَةِ

Reflecting on prophetic language narratives, we learn about courage as the Prophet (ﺼﻠﻰ ﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻮ ﺴﻠﻢ) and his companion, Abu Bakr ( ﻋﻨﻪ ﺮﻀﻲ ) took shelter in a cave from the enemies of the message of: لا اله الا الله; he said:

«لَا تَحْزَنْ إِنَّ اللهَ مَعَنَا»

Do not be afraid! No doubt, Allāh is with us. In hopes of addressing the dangers of mental enslavement to Muslim’s dogma that comes from culture grounded in Eastern civilization or Muslim’s dogma grounded in culture of Western civilization we need to understand semantics. Everyone in the Islamic Community of Prophet Muhammed (ﺼﻠﻰ ﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻮ ﺴﻠﻢ), have sacred regard for the companions, the followers of the Prophet and his companions, and the followers of the followers of the Prophet and his companion. They all acknowledged that rope that binds us:

لا اله الا الله وحده لا شريك له, له الملك وله الحمد وهو على كل شيىء قدير

In Sūrah, 3:103, Allāh (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) revealed in Qur’ānic prayer language:

وَاعْتَصِمُواْ بِحَبْلِ ﷲ جَمِيعًا وَلاَ تَفَرَّقُواْ

Allāh (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) condemns anyone who violates Qur’ānic prayer language; no exceptions for Muslims who come from culture grounded in Eastern civilization or Muslims who reside in culture grounded in Western civilization: Hold on altogether with Allāh’s rope and do not be divided! We pray that those who are violating Allāh’s orders by spreading hate speech about Muslims who haven’t pledged allegiance to the thought leaders that they look up to as their masters change their attitude. This is a violation of Allāh’s order that we do not be divided. No doubt, as soon as we conclude Khutba-tul-Jumu’ah with Qur’ānic prayer language, someone will violate the word (Kalimah) that was revealed to emancipate us from slave masters.
