Friday, March 27, 2009 / Khutba-tul-Jumu’ah, Rabi-al-awwal 30, 1430

As Salaam ‘Alaykum: We thank Allāh, we seek His help, we ask for His forgiveness, we believe and put our complete trust in Him, Mighty and Sublime is He. We witness that there is no deity except Allāh, He alone is without partners, and we witness that Muhammed is His Servant and Messenger, the prayers and peace be on him, on his descendants, his companions, and peace be on Allāh’s Messengers (all of them), and what follows of this traditional salutation.

Sūrah, 16:125, Allāh (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) revealed in Qur’ānic prayer language:

ادْعُ إِلِى سَبِيلِ رَبِّكَ بِالْحِكْمَةِ وَالْمَوْعِظَةِ الْحَسَنَةِ

ادْعُ | ud-عu | (invite!) is an active command to obey this order from our Lord and Master (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) as revealed here in Qur’ānic prayer language. The following incident shows how easy it is to violate what Allāh (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) has revealed regarding not putting ourselves before Allah and His Messenger (ﺼﻠﻰ ﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻮ ﺴﻠﻢ). Example, after an introduction, I was questioned: What is my minhāj? Am I Salaf? And do I acknowledge a particular scholar as the leader of contemporary thought in the Islamic Community of Prophet Muhammed (ﺼﻠﻰ ﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻮ ﺴﻠﻢ)? When we turn our opinions into dogma, we violate Allāh’s (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) teachings. Example; Sūrah 49: يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تُقَدِّمُوا بَيْنَ يَدَيِ ﷲِ وَرَسُولِهِ and Sūrah 1: مَالِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ; and in Sūrah 51: وَمَا خَلَقْتُ الْجِنَّ وَالْإِنسَ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُونِ; that’s the Sunnah of emancipation!’ This is the age old dogma that started the genocide in Islamic Community of Prophet Muhammed (ﺼﻠﻰ ﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻮ ﺴﻠﻢ) after he passed and continues to be the fuel that ignites hostilities that will land us in hell.

We must continue on this Qur’ānic journey examining ourselves by what Allāh (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) revealed in Qur’ānic prayer language; there is only one Master of man in the Islamic Community of Prophet Muhammed (ﺼﻠﻰ ﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻮ ﺴﻠﻢ). Who wants to be a slave of creation? We are not slaves to a scholar of any sect: لا اله الا الله وحده لا شريك له له الملك وله الحمد وهو على كل شيىء قدير. Prophet Muhammed (ﺼﻠﻰ ﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻮ ﺴﻠﻢ) was not a slave of creation and he is the model of excellence that Allāh (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) chose as the best pattern for humanity. We are not now, nor should we ever hold up a man, woman, their knowledge or anything in creation as our master. Until this is understood and practiced we are not living by what Allāh (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) revealed in Qur’ānic prayer language.

We repeat Sūrah, 16:125; Allāh (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) revealed in Qur’ānic prayer language:

ادْعُ إِلِى سَبِيلِ رَبِّكَ بِالْحِكْمَةِ وَالْمَوْعِظَةِ الْحَسَنَةِ

Reflecting on prophetic language narratives, we learn about courage as the Prophet (ﺼﻠﻰ ﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻮ ﺴﻠﻢ) and his companion, Abu Bakr ( ﻋﻨﻪ ﺮﻀﻲ ) took shelter in a cave from the enemies of the message of: لا اله الا الله; he said:

«لَا تَحْزَنْ إِنَّ اللهَ مَعَنَا»

Do not be afraid! No doubt, Allāh is with us. In hopes of addressing the dangers of mental enslavement to Muslim’s dogma that comes from culture grounded in Eastern civilization or Muslim’s dogma grounded in culture of Western civilization we need to understand semantics. Everyone in the Islamic Community of Prophet Muhammed (ﺼﻠﻰ ﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻮ ﺴﻠﻢ), have sacred regard for the companions, the followers of the Prophet and his companions, and the followers of the followers of the Prophet and his companion. They all acknowledged that rope that binds us:

لا اله الا الله وحده لا شريك له, له الملك وله الحمد وهو على كل شيىء قدير

In Sūrah, 3:103, Allāh (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) revealed in Qur’ānic prayer language:

وَاعْتَصِمُواْ بِحَبْلِ ﷲ جَمِيعًا وَلاَ تَفَرَّقُواْ

Allāh (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) condemns anyone who violates Qur’ānic prayer language; no exceptions for Muslims who come from culture grounded in Eastern civilization or Muslims who reside in culture grounded in Western civilization: Hold on altogether with Allāh’s rope and do not be divided! We pray that those who are violating Allāh’s orders by spreading hate speech about Muslims who haven’t pledged allegiance to the thought leaders that they look up to as their masters change their attitude. This is a violation of Allāh’s order that we do not be divided. No doubt, as soon as we conclude Khutba-tul-Jumu’ah with Qur’ānic prayer language, someone will violate the word (Kalimah) that was revealed to emancipate us from slave masters.

Friday, March 20, 2009 / Khutba-tul-Jumu’ah, Rabi-al-awwal 23, 1430

As Salaam ‘Alaykum: We thank Allāh, we seek His help, we ask for His forgiveness, we believe and put our complete trust in Him, Mighty and Sublime is He. We witness that there is no deity except Allāh, He alone is without partners, and we witness that Muhammed is His Servant and Messenger, the prayers and peace be on him, on his descendants, his companions, and peace be on Allāh’s Messengers (all of them), and what follows of this traditional salutation.

Allāh (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) has said in Sūrah, 96:10

Allāh (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) directs our attention in Qur’ānic prayer language to one who vowed to do bodily harm to the leader of the Islamic Community. Qur’ānic prayer language opens up our hearts as we reflect on its meaning for understanding. Thank Allāh (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) for Divine guidance that opens our eyes to events not observed by anyone other than the Angels giving us instant replay that allows us to form sound judgments to reconcile our life .experiences by. With Qur’ānic prayer language we witness the curse put on “the father of ignorance” (Abu Jahl) for making a terroristic threat about his intentions to do bodily harm to Prophet Muhammed (ﺼﻠﻰ ﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻮ ﺴﻠﻢ) and forbid Allah’s servant from communicating in prayer as revealed above.

A report in hadith tells us about this worthless wretch who threatened that if he witnessed the Prophet (ﺼﻠﻰ ﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻮ ﺴﻠﻢ) prostrating in prayer at the Ka’aba that he would stomp his head in. When this idle threat reached the Prophet (ﺼﻠﻰ ﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻮ ﺴﻠﻢ), he said,

«لَئِنْ فَعَلَ لَأَخَذَتْهُ الْمَلَائِكَة»

If he does, no doubt, the angels will punish him. There is nothing out of reach of the All-Knower (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى), His knowledge is bigger, greater, and the most important information we need to protect us from Satan within. Man never had, and never will have the capacity to actualize anything beyond the limits of what G_d makes possible for us to attain. It is preposterous to think that we can attempt to do something undetected by Allāh (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) who knows and has power over everything in creation. اَﻛْﺒَﺮُ ﷲُ | Allāhu Ak-bar | G_d is Greater!

Allāh (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) has said in Sūrah, 27:62

And He made you خُلَفَاء | khu-la-fā-a | custodians/caretakers of the earth, is there another deity with Allāh (?), little it is that you are mindful of. May Allāh (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) accept our English translation of Qur’ānic Prayer Language. The Qur’ānic Prayer Language and the authentic reports of the sayings and actions of Prophet Muhammed (ﺼﻠﻰ ﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻮ ﺴﻠﻢ) are bodies of knowledge utilized by people of all languages; we are the custodians of these authentic sources. These authentic bodies of knowledge are not ancient manuscripts to be archived in Museums. Since 1,430 years ago, خُلَفَاء | khu-la-fā-a | custodians/caretakers of these authentic reports about true life have passed on from generation to generation these sources for spiritual and intellectual renaissance for the minds, hearts, and souls of every human community since the times of Prophet Muhammed (ﺼﻠﻰ ﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻮ ﺴﻠﻢ) until the end of time.

Thank Allāh (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) African Americans are blessed to be custodians of these authentic sacred sources of Divine guidance. Allāh (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) has entrusted these precious jewels of knowledge and wisdom into the minds, bodies and souls of deserving custodians whose ancestors were sold into slavery, the mother of cultural genocide. These authentic Divine sources of life have given birth to a new intelligentsia among American Muslims inspiring a New Africa Muslim revival in the Islamic Community of Prophet Muhammed (ﺼﻠﻰ ﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻮ ﺴﻠﻢ) like it did in Songhai, Mali and Timbuktu generations ago. Allāh (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) questions us in Sūrah, 55:59

And in hadith, the Prophet (ﺼﻠﻰ ﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻮ ﺴﻠﻢ) said,

«إِنَّ مِنْ إِجْلَالِ اللهِ إِكْرَامُ ذِي الشَّيْبَةِ الْمُسْلِمِ، وَذِي السُّلْطَانِ، وَحَامِلِ الْقُرْآنِ غَيْرِ الْغَالِي فِيهِ، وَلَا الْجَافِي عَنْه»

Surely, among the acts of glorifying Allāh, are honoring the elderly Muslim(s) and the possessors of authority (teachers), and bearers (memorizers) of the Qur’anic prayer language, and avoiding extremism and laziness with it.

As Salaam ‘Alaykum: We thank Allāh, we seek His help, we ask for His forgiveness, we believe and put our complete trust in Him, Mighty and Sublime is He. We witness that there is no G’d but Allāh, He alone is without partners, and we witness that Muhammed is His Servant and Messenger, the prayers and peace be on him, on his descendants, his companions, and peace be on Allāh’s Messengers (all of them), and what follows of this traditional salutation.

Allāh (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) has said in Sūrah, 75:31

Then, neither did he accept the truth, nor did he pray. May Allāh (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) be pleased with our interpretations of Qur’ānic prayer language. Nevertheless, as we continue on this Qur’ānic prayer language odyssey, examining mature thinkers in the Islāmic Community of Prophet Muhammed (ﺼﻠﻰ ﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻮ ﺴﻠﻢ); we pray that Allah increase us in knowledge and understanding of what He has revealed.

The following published accounts allow us to witness the diversity of our understanding of Sūrah, 75:31. “(1) But in this life, he neither believed, nor offered Salah. (2) But, he neither affirmed (the truth) nor prayed. (3) For he neither trusted, nor prayed. (4) So he gave nothing in charity, nor did he pray! (5) So he accepted not the truth, nor prayed; (6) For this person (being unmindful of the consequences) neither accepted the truth nor offered prayer. (7) So he (the disbeliever) neither believed (in this Qur’an, in the message of Muhammad ﺼﻠﻰ ﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻮ ﺴﻠﻢ) nor prayed! (8) So, he neither believed nor prayed!”

With respect to the diverse interpretations of صَدَّقَ | sad-da-qa (to be truthful and sincere, to verify, to prove the truth of; verified, judged correctly, accepted the truth; believed, proved true), we must be careful so as not to accuse one another of going astray from the religion anytime someone says something different than our favorite translator’s interpretation what of what Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) has revealed.

With respect to your sincere advice that there are many of us do not know the seven conditions of لَا إِلهَ إِلَّا اللهُ we must agree that the best thinking on لَا إِلهَ إِلَّا اللهُ is done by those who live life as a model example of the reality that there is no deity except Allāh (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى)!

When it comes to taking responsibility for our behavior I have heard that whatever happens is (the) ﻗَﺪْرُﷲ | qad-rul-lāh as if our destiny is a predetermined event rather than owning up to the harm we do to ourselves and others dismissing it as (the) ﻗَﺪْرُﷲ | qad-rul-lāh and we are just unfortunate creatures resigned to forces beyond our control.

Our faith is based on the position that ﻤِﻥَﷲِ ﺸَرِّﻩٖ وَ ﺨَﻳْرِﻩٖ ﺍﻠﻘَﺪْرِ | al-qadri-khay-ri-hī-wa-shar-ri-hī-min-Allāh | that the measure of law, for those who benefit from its good, and those who are harmed for violating it, is from Allāh (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى). Therefore, it is (the) ﻗَﺪْرُﷲ | qad-rul-lāh (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) that whenever anyone obeys (ﺨَﻳْر | good) he gets its benefits; and that we are going to be held accountable for violations (ﺸَرِّ | making bad choices) in this life and the next. We can’t trivialize sacred language to justify situations by saying that no matter what we think, say, or do, it is all a pre-determined manifestation of destiny.

Qur’ānic Prayer Language is the key factor that invigorated Prophet Muhammed (ﺼﻠﻰ ﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻮ ﺴﻠﻢ); it is the key factor that enlivened mature thinkers in the days and times of Prophet Muhammed (ﺼﻠﻰ ﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻮ ﺴﻠﻢ); and it is the key factor that enlivens mature thinkers today and guides those who obey on the same path as those who were rightly guided before us.

In Qur’ānic Prayer Language we are shown how disobedience is the route that can transforms us into the wretch known as the devil, in Sūrah, 34:20 Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) has said:

وَلَقَدْ صَدَّقَ عَلَيْهِمْ إِبْلِيسُ ظَنَّهُ فَاتَّبَعُوهُ إِلَّا فَرِيقًا مِّنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ

And Iblīs has already صَدَّقَ | sad-da-qa | proved true his thought about them, then, they followed him, except a group among the believers. Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) gave everyone a brain for thinking, no matter how learned this or that person may be, we are all responsible for our actions. We can’t tell someone that we have done a grave wrong to that it was (the) ﻗَﺪْرُﷲ | qad-rul-lāh. I pray what I have said adds some kind of principled value to this conversation; keep the faith until we meet again.

Friday, March 6, 2009 / Khutba-tul-Jumu’ah, Rabi-al-awwal 9, 1430

As Salaam ‘Alaykum: We thank Allāh, we seek His help, we ask for His forgiveness, we believe and put our complete trust in Him, Mighty and Sublime is He. We witness that there is no G’d but Allāh, He alone is without partners, and we witness that Muhammed is His Servant and Messenger, the prayers and peace be on him, on his descendants, his companions, and peace be on Allāh’s Messengers (all of them), and what follows of this traditional salutation.

Allāh (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) has said in Sūrah 24:21

To bring clarity about this language, خُطُوَاتِ الشَّيْطَانِ ﴿ khu-tu-wā-tish-shay-tān | the devil’s footsteps we must acquire a functional understanding of what Allāh (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) has revealed. الشَّيْطَانِ must be avoided if we want to keep our humanity in check. الشَّيْطَانِ | The chief enemy of man who is far from the truth and mercy of Allāh (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) knows his purpose is to infect humanity with his diseased, arrogant, contemptuous, perverted, self delusional, intoxicated thinking that convinces fools to believe that humanity is too inferior to serve the one and only deity who is known by the proper name Allāh and other improper names.

As human beings it is imperative that we take a critical look at how we deify behavior by making it an object of worship. In this case, we identify Al-Islām as behavior that embodies our complete way of life. However, it is a sin and a shame that we are now deifying the works of the revered scholars and militant deviants by elevating their schools of thought as the only behavior that is acceptable to Allāh (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى).

In the Islamic Community of Prophet Muhammed (ﺼﻠﻰ ﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻮ ﺴﻠﻢ) there is only one deity whose proper name is Allāh (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى), there is only one Prophet Muhammed (ﺼﻠﻰ ﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻮ ﺴﻠﻢ) who is the Messenger of Allāh to 1,500,000,000 people serving Allāh in different ways from the cradle to the grave. What makes us think that the only way to serve Allāh (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) is by cloning a make believe identity, overdosed on the intoxicated idea of self-righteous superiority?

Yes we have beautiful traditions and ceremonial expressions that are linked to the practices of Prophet Muhammed (ﺼﻠﻰ ﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻮ ﺴﻠﻢ); nevertheless, we can’t deify any entity as an object of worship. Prophet Muhammed has said,

The most excellent thinking is that there is no deity except Allah.

The mindset that leads to hostility, hatred, and the idea that whoever is not an identical clone of us is fit for nothing but fuel to keep the fires of hell burning is repulsive. It is a mindset that led to the genocidal crime against humanity known as slavery, the holocaust; it is the mindset that fostered the genocide in Rwanda. It is the mindset that evolves into Satanic thinking, it is a disease that we seek protection with Allāh (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) from.

Take the digestive system, we consume food to survive, yet the fact is that our bodies process what we put in ourselves and extract what is best for itself and eliminates as wastes what it can’t use. Likewise, this same process is in place as it relates storing reprocessed spiritual information, we take what we need, it benefits us, but nevertheless, if we don’t eliminate the excess over time it will clog up our spiritual digestion system and decay into a foul, stinking, rotten mess that contaminates us to the point of spiritual death. This is why Allāh (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) has said in Sūrah, 29:45

اتْلُ | ut-lu is اَﻠﻔِﻌْﻞُٱﻷﻤْﺮُ | al-fi-lul-amr | Qur’anic language formed as a command, past, present and future tense order from Allāh (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) teaching us in this case to اتْلُ | recite (!) what was revealed to you from the book and أَقِمِ | a-qim | keep the prayer devotion straight (!); surely prayer تَنْهَى | tan-hā | restrains from الْفَحْشَاء | al-fah-shā-i | indecency; adultery; fornication; sodomy. Illicit sexual conduct and الْمُنكَرِ | al-mun-kar | what is repugnant, disliked and strange to human nature; وَلَذِكْرُ ﷲِ أَكْبَرُ
